Tommorow, We’ll be welcomed to the hearbreak

November 23, 2008

Kanye’s new album comes out tommorow, and from what i have heard and read, its pretty good, not as good as the other three albums, but in its own right is still up to par. I know I’m excited. I enjoy the fact that he is stretching himself artistically, and revealing himself at the time through his work, as a artist of any kind should. But i know i like something to keep me at bay when i cant wait till album drop. Check out sky high mixtape, it has a bunch of Mr. West remixes. My favorite is the discotech remix of homecoming. Discotech is a name ill be mentioning some more in the future.

Pop Culture: VMA’s 2008 in review

September 8, 2008

Impressed is the only word i can think of when it comes to describing the VMA’s this past year. This years theme was very impressive to say the least. MTV is finally taking a few steps in the right direction, not the huge ones, but steps non the less. The reason i think this years VMA’s captivated me so much was the fact that it was not boring, and unique unlike most years where it seems like the were just trying to put things together and instead of being creative and actually showing how powerful it can be with the youth. The most important kick i get out of the VMA’s is that MTV is the voice of the youth, it represents whats current in pop culture. If you want to know whats current in main stream media, this event gives it to you. i think seeing trends trickle down to the masses and actually seeing the product is one of the newest most captivating things i have ever seen. Being well informed and staying up on, or better yet, ahead of things is completely new to me, and to see things be shaped up and put out to the masses is the craziest most brilliant, but at the same time weird thing ever. MTV your catching up and almost returning to the days of when you knew what was up, but now your playing catchup with your own innovations. Keep it up.

Anyways the two things that really wowed me was Russell brand thought, he was bloody brilliant. and then Kanye performed a new song for the VMA’s which is probably the highest point that they could reach on that show. The performance was sick as well. all in all. VMA’s get a go by me for this year. Maybe next year i can be there for the inside scoop. But here is Kanye’s performance. Song called love lockdown. what another hit. enjoy it as i always do.

Its time we GLOW

August 8, 2008

So its been almost a week exactly since i have seen kanye west. The man behind the amazing music of graduation, brought his concert series to Cincinnati, Ohio, and god was the show good. See we go to the show late because of complications, so lupe I’m sorry we only caught daydream, but it was still good. NERD was crazy shit too, they’re energy on stage is electrifying, the got the crowd pumped i tell you. Not even joking seeing the star trek sign thrown up over the whole us bank arena, sent chills down my spin, and cooling my body to the coldest point. Madness. Finally after a long setup, The brightest star in the universe came on stage and showed us what it is. He is entertainment, hands down, kanye west is a genius in his own right, and I just love him for his passion. I haven’t seen somebody with such a love of what the do. I envy this to such a heavy degree. the show was simply spectacular.  Also his style. emaculate.

shout out to BT for the pics. because  as  you can tell my things got taken away.

Time to take a dump.

July 13, 2008

See with me lacking in post for some time now. I’ve actually been a constipated mess. i have so much back up of wanting to talk about cool shit, that it hurts my stomach. i need to let it out. i will try to make this clean as possible.

So if you did not know I am a huge Jay electronica fan. i found his music about two months ago and god, the man is prolific. legitimately he has such a complex flow its not even funny. supposedly has another mixtape coming out. Go Here, this is a preview for the upcoming rock the bells, i promise you he will be a sensation. My favorite track by him so far, is the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. Crazy Track.

Kanye west, who is one of the dudes i draw inspiration from, has a line coming out soon called pastelle. Its been a long time coming but he throws in pieces ever now and again, like he did when you see him styled in pastelle for the stronger video, recently kanye was at the fashion shows in Paris and Milan, another sighting has occurred. Makes you want to get into his shit already. i know I’m going to be copping on the first day the shit come out.

Just two days ago while meeting some friends at the Starbucks i stopped by my local Barnes and noble. Made a awesome discovery. A cool hip international magazine, it cost me 12 bucks, which sucked because i needed that cash when i had the munchies at the movies, but man i read it the next day, shits awesome. Lodown magazine is a cool, fresh pickup for myself. It combines alot of what i love, fashion, skating, photography and art, and some new things like fixed gear biking. Its really chill and i was happy, though broke to get that shit. definitely fits in my style.

OK so i think that’s it for now. you know it helps the constipation. i feel a little better now.
